A food allergy is an excessive immune reaction to a particular food. This is often due to the fact that the food is either improperly digested, or incompatible with a basic blood chemistry (that is, their blood type). Symptoms of
food allergies are many and varied, but may include gastro-intestinal discurbances (inflammatory bowel disorders and leaky gut syndrome), respiratory and lymphatic congestion (excess mucus, swollen lymph nodes), rashes, fatigue, headaches, autoimmune disorders, and even emotional disturbances. In fact, many common health problems trace back to food allergies. They may also be responsible for hyper-activity. restlessness, irritability, anxiety and depression.

There are several ways to test for possible food allergies. Using muscle testing may helpful, but is not 100%
reliable. A better method is to take the pulse, eat a small amount of a food, and test the pulse again. Any food that raises the pulse more than six beats per minute after ingestion is probably an allergen.
The best method, however, is to eliminate suspect foods for a few days. You can even fast for a few days consuming only water or juice. If symptoms improve, then food allergies may be involved. When a food is reintroduced and symptoms reoccur, that confirms food allergies are a problem.

In the search for possible allergies, start with the foods that are incompatible with your blood type (O, A,
B or AB
). The most important supplements to help with allergies are enzymes. The liver may also need to be detoxified to overcome allergies. A lack of trace minerals necessary for enzyme functions may also involved. Colloidal minerals may help. Homeopathics may also help to desensitize a person's allergies. By taking a highly diluted supplement of the foods a person is allergic to, they canbe desensitized.

Many food allergies involve Leaky Gut Syndrome. When a person suffers from allergic responses to raw, unprocessed foods like strawberries, pineapple or papaya, it is probably not an allergic response to the food at all. Typically, there is some toxin or irritant in the person's body that this particular food stirs up. By using the above procedure (i.e., taking very tiny amounts of the food and gradually increasing them), the body will be able to gradually discharge the irritant and the food will no longer cause a reaction. This also works for many so-called "allergic" ractions to herbs.
